Globorotalia menardii
Life: G. menardii is a non-spinose deeper dwelling species of planktic foraminifera. Species distribution is tropical to subtropical. This species is abundant in the tropical modern ocean. Distinguishing features: G. menardii features a low trochospiral and large discoidal test with 5 - 6 chambers in the final whorl. The shell has raised spiral sutures and a more massive keel.
